Kernvel GateIQ Sister-App Integrations

GateIQ is the membership backbone of the Kernvel suite — see what lights up when you run it alongside your other apps.

GateIQ — Sister-App Integrations

GateIQ is part of the Kernvel suite — a family of AI-native Shopify apps that work better together. This guide explains what lights up when you run GateIQ alongside its sister apps, and how to turn each connection on.

GateIQ plays a special role in the suite: it's the membership backbone. Most apps gain a capability when they consume something GateIQ already knows — who's a member, what tier they're on, and what that tier unlocks. Run GateIQ with another Kernvel app and that app starts acting on your membership data automatically.

How connections work

Every Kernvel app can talk to its sister apps privately and automatically. When you have two Kernvel apps installed on the same store, extra capabilities appear — no code, no data export, no setup beyond installing both apps (and, for a couple of connections, flipping one switch).

A few things worth knowing:

  • You're always in control. Connections are surfaced in each app's Connections screen. In GateIQ, the Connections page shows which sister apps are installed and what each connection does. Some connections are switched on or off from the other app's Connections page — GateIQ tells you where.
  • Only the minimum is shared. Apps exchange the smallest signal needed to do the job — a tier flag, a membership status, a product ID, a coarse risk flag — never your raw customer lists. The exchange is authenticated privately between your apps.
  • Install once, benefit everywhere. The moment both apps are installed and connected to your store, the capability is available. The framing is simple: run GateIQ + app Y, and you also get Z.

The rest of this guide covers the two integrations where GateIQ is directly involved, organized by the merchant outcome.

Restock → member-first early access + member price

Apps: StockIQ → GateIQ

What you get: When a sold-out product comes back in stock, your members get first access — and optionally a members-only price — before everyone else. A restock becomes a reward for being a member, not just a notification.

How it works

StockIQ is the part of the suite that knows when inventory changes — it watches live stock levels and scheduled reconciliation, so it can tell the moment an out-of-stock product is available again. GateIQ owns your membership tiers, your early-access rules, and the member-pricing.

You set this up once, on the GateIQ side:

  1. Open the membership tier(s) you want to reward and configure the restock perks:
    • a member-first early-access window (in hours) — how long members get exclusive access before the restock opens to everyone, and/or
    • a members-only discount — a percentage off for members during the restock.
  2. Install StockIQ and connect it to your store.

After that, when StockIQ detects a restock, GateIQ automatically:

  • opens the product to your members first for the window you set, and
  • prepares the members-only price so it's ready to apply at checkout.

Turn it on

Install StockIQ from the Shopify App Store and connect it to your store. The restock connection's on/off switch lives on StockIQ's Connections page; the membership perks (early-access hours and member discount) are configured per tier inside GateIQ → Memberships.

Good to know about member pricing. The members-only price is applied at checkout by GateIQ's member-price Shopify Function, which needs a one-time activation per store (including granting the discount permission). Until you activate it, the member price is set up and ready as metadata, and the early-access window still works — you just finish the one-time discount activation in GateIQ to enforce the price at checkout. GateIQ shows you exactly what's needed and when.

GateIQ as your membership provider

Apps: GateIQ → AuctionAI, ReturnsIQ

What you get: Your other Kernvel apps can read GateIQ membership status and act on it — so a membership tier becomes a perk that pays off across your whole stack, not just on locked pages. GateIQ stays the single source of truth for who's a member and what they're entitled to; the other apps consume it.

This is the heart of GateIQ's role in the suite. Here's what each connection unlocks.

Member-only auctions (with AuctionAI)

Run AuctionAI's live auctions and exclusive drops, and gate them by GateIQ membership — make a premium tier the price of admission to your best auctions. Your top tier becomes genuinely exclusive: only members get to bid.

Turn it on: install AuctionAI, connect it to your store, and choose GateIQ membership as the access requirement on the auctions you want to restrict.

Return-risk context alongside membership (with ReturnsIQ)

ReturnsIQ scores how likely each shopper is to send orders back, based on their settled return history (units only — never personal data). Connect it and you can review that return-risk context next to your membership decisions. It's advisory: GateIQ doesn't automatically gate shoppers by return risk — it just gives you the signal alongside everything else you know about a member.

Turn it on: install ReturnsIQ and connect it to your store.

Why this matters

Membership is more valuable when it does something everywhere. On its own, a GateIQ tier unlocks gated content. Connected to the rest of the suite, that same tier can open exclusive auctions and ride alongside restock rewards — all from one definition of "who's a member," all without exporting a single customer record.

Install the sister apps you want, connect them to your store, and the apps start working together automatically.

Integration availability reflects the current public release. Some connections require both apps to be installed and connected to your store; we note where a connection is managed from a sister app's Connections page.
